Horses For Sale New Zealand

Frequently Asked Questions

How can you keep your pricing free?

Our goal is to offer a free alternative for equestrian enthusiasts.

To achieve these, we may from time to time display google adverts, affiliate links and/or sponsored advertising from related equestrian businesses to support the service that we offer.

The success and our ongoing ability to deliver a free service is up to you. We need your support through sharing this website with your equestrian friends and invite you to support our advertisers (where practical) who are helping us provide this service free.

If you are a business and would like to support this site through paid advertising, please get in touch.

Can I advertise my business or service on horsesforsale.co.nz

Yes (see above). Please get in touch to discuss your needs.  We’d love to hear from you and are happy to come up with an option that will suit your business and budget.

Who can Sell on Horses For Sale?

This website has been created with the New Zealand horse rider in mind, so we are restricting advertising and listings to New Zealanders only. Basically the item you are selling, whether it is saddlery, horse float, truck or your four legged friend, must be in New Zealand to be advertised on this website.

Apart from Horses, what other items can I sell here?

You can sell horses, ponies, miniature horses etc, as well as saddlery and tack, grooming and horse care products, covers and rugs, horse floats and trucks as well as riding clothes and footwear. We are planning to extend these categories further once we have more listings.

Why has this website been created? Doesn’t everyone just use Facebook & TradeMe?

This website has been created in direct response to the need to provide a free alternative to NZ auction & classified listing sites, where fees have crept up over a number of years.

Facebook are also threatening to enforce their ‘no sale of animals policy,’ so the practice of buying & selling horses through Facebook groups and pages is likely to become more difficult in future.

Have you got a question?

Please get in touch with us and we’ll answer any questions you have as soon as possible. If it’s a common question, we’ll add it to this FAQ page 🙂
